Description
The Region is proposing a 136 dwelling unit, mixed-use building for the purpose of affordable rental housing in order to support the Waterloo Region Housing Master Plan. The proposed maximum height is 7-storeys with a portion of the building towards the rear scaling back to 5-storeys. The proposed development will feature apartment-style dwelling units and feature a "Youth Community Centre" on the ground floor. Surface parking is being provided along the perimeter of the site. Additionally, a large outdoor amenity area is proposed to the rear of the building that will accommodate a large gathering space for residents with playground features. Please note that the applicant currently has an OPA and ZBA application under review by the City and is scheduled to go to Council for review and approval on January 31, 2023.
