Description
Stantec has been retained by the Region to provide engineering services for the proposed upgrades at the G4/G4A well site, located at 37 Dianne Avenue, Cambridge. The well site currently draws from two groundwater under direct influence of surface water (GUDI) wells, G4 and G4A. The facility delivers treated water directly to the Cambridge Zone 3 (Cam 3) distribution system and the Inverness Tank. Following completion of the upgrades, the facility will be supplied by G4A alone and will supply treated water to the Cam 3 distribution system and future Cam 3 elevated tank1 (Ceder Creek Tank). A new G4/G4A well house will be designed, including new process, electrical, and instrumentation equipment, in order to replace deteriorated equipment. Following construction of the new well house, well G4 will be decommissioned and abandoned, and the existing facility will be demolished and removed from site.
What this kind of application is
